What is PTE?
PTE stands for Pearson Test of English. It is a 3 hours computer-based test which assesses the Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing abilities of non-native speakers of English who need to demonstrate their academic English capability-often to obtain places at English-speaking Universities, higher education institutions or as proof of their language ability for a Visa application. The test is accepted in 3000 Courses worldwide UK, Australia, Canada, USA, New Zealand, Dubai etc.
Pearson test of English academic is endorsed by and the preferred test of GMAC®-The owners of the GMAT®.
PTE academic test assesses real life academic content. During the test, the candidate hears excerpts from lectures and views graphs and charts. The Candidate hears a range of accounts in the test, from British and American to non-native Speakers, in order to be exposed to the type of accents that may be encountered.

WHAT ARE THE IMPORTANT TIPS FOR THE PTE EXAM?
Do’s
- Use correct punctuation for writing tasks: full stops, capital letters, comma etc they are very important.
- If the question asks you to write or speak about sport, write or speak on the same topic and do not deviate from it.
- It is important to keep strictly within the word limit given for writing tasks.
- Respond quickly and keep speaking during speaking tasks.
DON’T
- Write entirely in capitals letters. Only use capitals when needed or asked; at the beginning of sentences, names etc.
- Click next before you have completed the task and ready to move on.
PTE SCORING PATTERN
The PTE task is scored against the Global scale of English, giving you an accurate snapshot of the performance of the test-taker on a scale of 10-90. Detailed score reports show the overall test-taker performance as well as their ability on sub-skills and enabling skills.
